International Labor Organization

The International Labor Organization was created an affiliate agency of the League of Nations. During these years, the League of Nations was a noble tool for promoting international cohesion; however, it ceased its operations after failing to mitigate the 2nd World War.

In 1945, representatives of fifty countries met at the United Nations Conference on International Organization in San Francisco to draw up the UN Charter. The delegates at the conference deliberated on the basis of proposals prepared by the representatives of the Soviet Union, China, the United Kingdom and the US between August and October 1944 at Dumbarton Oaks in the United States. A year later on 26th June the Charter was signed by the representatives of the 50 member states. However, Poland, which was absent in the Conference, signed the UN charter at a later to become of the 51 original member states.
